after a great deal of struggle, i am now the proud owner of a new dining room table. mike's grandmother said we could have it, but we couldn't transport it for another three weeks. unfortunately, there was no way to transport it in three weeks, so it was now or never. eventually mike had to call his grandmother and convince her. when asked how he accomplished this, mike simply said "i used the word 'legacy.'"
and now there is a beautiful cherry wood table in my dining room.
still going around my house figuring out what to take and what to get rid of (can i end that sentence in "of"?). last night, i foisted a large dresser on laura and jeremy. in my defense, it's wooden and pretty!
sorry. furniture is only interesting to the person who has to sit in it. i'll move on now.
story time tomorrow! no father abraham this week, but i'm trying to figure out how this one sesame street song goes. anybody know the tune to "it's a very simple dance to do"? for some reason, the book that i have thinks it would be useful to write out the words but not give any indication of the music.
more wedding dress shopping today. that's what happens when two of your friends are engaged... good thing i love pretty dresses. and, as laura told me, if i can't get a job as a librarian, i can always get one at a wedding dress place.
