success! i learned "a very simple dance to do"!of course, i had to watch several minutes of sesame street videos (including the count singing "do the batty bat" and several singing pigs who wanted to walk or something... i didn't quite catch that one). the kids loved it, but it involves spinning around and falling down which is always a sure-fire hit with preschoolers.

i just got my rug! i was actually home when they tried to deliver it!! how brilliant is THAT! one small problem. i miscalculated the dimensions and the thing is huge. huge huge huge. i'm going to have to figure something out... probably stuff lots of feet of it under the couch. what else are couches for?

i'm almost done scrapbooking my wedding. i'm definitely going to need a new project to warrant taking all my stuff to new york with me. i'm already taking a bunch of stuffed animals (for storytime! see? there are benefits to being a children's librarian) and more books than i would like to admit.
