well, i finally had a talkative cab driver.

he shared with me how to get all the channels with only one cable account ("like wireless internet"), what was wrong with this country ("one plus one is two, right??") and how to live with your ex-wife without blurring things by letting her pay your cable bill ("i'll pay my half and she can pay hers").

all in all, i was thoroughly educated and all i had to do was say "yeah, yeah, really, uh huh...." mostly, i was just surprised to find someone who could match me in the words per minute over words in edgewise ratio.
