here's a tip for those who know and love me: never watch "steel magnolias."

i was hanging out with a couple of diabetic girls and started discussing that movie when one of them said that she had tried to watch it five or six times and it had never worked out for her - the sound stopped working, the dvds were scratched, the tv schedule changed....

we told her that her guardian angel was watching out for her.

"i guess i'll have to stop trying to watch it now," she said.

and somewhere, the guardian angel that protects diabetics from "steel magnolias" breathed a sigh of relief.
