i've always liked to know how things were going to turn out.
i read the last page of a book before i read the rest.
i skim ahead in big battle scenes in my book - once i know that no one important dies, i go back and read the action.
i read the plots of movies before i go see them - that way i'm not surprised.
i write the hypothesis for my experiment after i do the experiment - then i know already how it will turn out.
lately, though, i've been thinking about control and what i have control over and what is spinning completely out of my reach. (also, someone at karaoke told me to relinquish stage manager control and start performing onstage already! we'll see what happens with that...)
then yesterday, while doing my puzzle book, i came across one where i had to guess which vowel i was going to use the most in the next puzzle.
i considered my options and then actually guessed before i started the puzzle.
one small step for a woman.
