safely and happily in grand rapids. let me tell you, though, people are grumpy at 4:30 in the morning when they have to be at the airport and the machines are not working. and the security line is long. several people were auditioning for the role of "angry man #1" in the next airport comedy movie.

still, i made it to town, which is more than can be said for last time.

can someone explain to me why it didn't snow during christmas but it's snowing now?? it makes no sense.

spring break at the library is not going nearly as horribly as i had first imagined it would. i think steeling myself (is that the right turn of phrase/spelling?) against it just means that i didn't find it as chaotic. we also planned more programs than we have ever had in a week, i think. some genius decided to extend spring break to the next wednesday (the kids get like 10 days off!) so i still have to survive monday and tuesday, but the bulk of it is over.

now if i can just think of what to do with the kids for the three programs i have planned for monday... then all will be well.

you would think that after a long absence, i would have more to say. huh.
