why, yes, i have fallen off the face of the earth.

in case you were interested.

actually, i've simply fallen into the black hole that is theater tech week / opening weekend. there's nothing like a tech week to make you forget what you loved about theater in the first place. of course, when the show actually opens, you remember.

mike finished his proposal right before he got swallowed by the theater (he's been helping out - and we've very very much appreciated it). it went pretty well - the most important part is that he passed, dave is happy with him, and they're pushing ahead on his molecule in hopes of finishing it before mike takes off in a couple of years.

we're glad to have some resolution on the issue of the phd and the molecule, and my boss is glad to know that we'll be around for a bit at any rate.

this week i visited a school and told stories to first and second graders. i sang the bumblebee song with them which throws me straight back to my own childhood silly songs. does anyone else know it? "i'm bringing home a baby bumblebee! won't my mommy be so proud of me..." then it stings, you mash it, it's gross, you lick it up, it's yucky, you puke it up and then it's messy so you clean it up. anyone? it goes over really really well with six and seven year olds (they wanted to sing it again and again! especially the licking and puking part). great age.

i have three days of darkness at the theater. this means i don't have to go back until next thursday. i think i should rearrange the apartment.
