last night mike and i went to see the band girlyman. not a great name, but a great band. i especially like their harmonies, their style, the random stories they tell between songs, and their sense of humor. they were telling a story about how hilarious it is when the highways say "stay in lane" but they print it backwards so that you can read it as you drive across it. of course, this never works because you can see the whole phrase and it ends up looking like "lane in stay." this was much more hilarious to them when they were drunk, but it did inspire a cover of "wild thing" that was sung backwards. as in "thing wild! sing heart my make you!"

swamped at work, but still enjoying it. what am i going to do when i get my midlife crisis? this is way too much fun.

the weather has warmed and mugged with a bit of a vengeance. mike takes this opportunity to bike around central park when he can. fun for him while he does it, not so much fun for me when he comes home and wants to hug me.

apartment needs cleaning. cats need feeding. food needs buying. hair needs brushing. clearly i should stop blogging and get back to work.
