at the library, we had a halloween parade, told scary stories, and handed out lots of candy. i timed it so that the candy was the last thing - they could eat it on their way out and go terrorize someone else.
things we didn't do this year: attempt to go to the halloween parade. last year, if you recall, we were almost crushed to death. of course, the perks of seeing costumes that consisted of strategically placed paint almost outweighed the danger... but not quite. walking home last night was fun, though, because all the kids and parents were out with their costumes. lots of princesses and spidermans (both red and black ones) were roaming the streets. near the library, the kids were all going in to local businesses and asking for candy. that must be what happens when you don't have a suburbs. and houses. and things.
mike's main halloween activity was eating the cookies shaped like fingers that someone from work brought in. i guess that counts too.
