the last week has looked like this:
7:00 out the door to work (mike still in bed trying to not be exhausted)
8:00 two or three trains later, i arrive at work
9:00 storytime for 25 to 45 small children
3:00 after school kids descend upon me
5:30 off from work, head to rehearsal
7:00 rehearsal. try to keep track of two directors, a producer and 65 cast members who all need something different
11:00 arrive at home and see husband for the first time all day
11:30 try to sleep so that when the alarm goes off at 6:30, i'll be ready
for six days in a row. i'm tired. result: today i didn't do anything.
mike, on the other hand, has been doing nothing for a few days. we're afraid he might have mono, so he's been taking it easy until the doctor can see him next week. the plus side: he's finally taking some days off from work! the down side... well, he's feeling sick and exhausted. so that's no fun for anyone.
what i did today: rearrange the furniture (yeah, yeah, i know, i know, shut up)
what we did not do today: watch the superbowl. i was sort of afraid that the giants were going to lose because new york is ALL about the giants, but i was obviously not afraid enough to actually watch. i would have been completely unaware of the score except for the fact that somewhere around nine something we suddenly heard cheering from all the surrounding apartments. we turned on the game: touchdown for the giants. and a few minutes later: more cheering. i'm going to guess that we won the game...?
i haven't heard cheering through windows since france took home the europe cup in 2000. and it was fun here too.
