last week it snowed.
meg ryan said "someone ... will think it's a testament to this city, how's it's always changing..." and the snow is no exception. it snowed for one night and for one beautiful white morning we all trudged through several inches of white fluff. then, by the time the kids got out of school, it was raining and all the snow was gone.
i'm sorry, i realize this is not the time to slap you in the face with the fact that our snow melts.
(but i guess i just did it anyway)
the kids were off school last week. i know that teachers breathe a sigh of relief when this happens, but for me it just means rugrats crawling on me all day long. i did get a group to perform a play, though, and that was fun. we performed the three little pigs followed by a version of "the true story of the three little pigs." they made their own costumes and sets and learned all their lines... it was a good time. you should have seen the straw, sticks, and bricks houses they painted. they were group projects so the results were... artistic and mural-like.
mike is back to work for a few hours a day. one small step at a time.
