i should never be allowed to make reservations.

exhibit a:
i reserved a truck for bringing the set from our space to where we perform the show. when we go to pick up the truck, it ain't there. in fact, they claim we never even reserved one.

exhibit b:
i reserved the space for the cast party. we wanted the room from 7 till 11. then, yesterday, they call to say the space is reserved from 5 till 8 as we had discussed. (!?!)

exhibit c:
i reserved a truck to take the set back to the place from which we rented it. i wanted to get it at 11:30 a.m. on sunday at 23rd street and drop it off at mt. kisco the following morning. a few hours later, i received a call: "your truck has been reserved for 9 a.m. monday morning. you can pick it up in the bronx." and no for amount of waiting on the line could i get them to tell me where i was supposed to drop it off.

conclusion? i suppose i should be happy that i was mostly warned about things going wrong and therefore had time to fix them.

but what it really comes down to is this: i'd love to get together with you. as long as you plan it.
