scissors and i have had a falling out.
it started a long time ago for the simple reason that i like to take crafty things with me when i travel. lately it's been mini cross-stitch projects. (i like to keep my hands busy). at any rate, i usually include a small scissors in the sandwich bag where i carry the cross-stitch.
this drives the airlines nuts. for some reason, i can take any number of my insulin syringes without even a raised eyebrow, but the scissors.... oooooooh no. no no no.
i've had scissors taken away from me in new york, amsterdam, france, spain, guatemala, and israel.
and, to cap it all off, when i went to jury duty just a few weeks ago, they took my scissors there, too.
well, if nothing else, i am single-handedly preventing the scissor industry from succumbing to the economic crisis. and that's something to be proud of. i guess.

You and your scissors, father and his Swiss knife!! Two industries that will not "succumb to the econmic crisis." Not if you can help it!
