mike has been a member of ACS (amazing chemists society... or something like that) for two years. as far as i can tell, this pretty much means that he gets the science weekly magazine.

then, we discovered that every year, we get a present. this was last year:


cute, right? it took me a minute to figure out what it was because we'd been married more than a year at that point. then i flipped it over.

it's a hydrogen. get it?

here, let me help you out. this year, we got this one:


helium.

which brings me to the following questions:

1 - what are we supposed to do with these? we don't drink coffee and we have no room for this sort of thing and are they going to keep coming every year?

2 - do i really have to wait 78 years to get a mercury mug?

I have no idea who collects those things. After Boron I decided it was time to quit the ACS. I think they were "lost" in the move...the one that Lee helped with.
