ankle seems to be healing - at least enough to hobble around like a freak. on the plus side, it makes me walk much slower, so i'm less likely to leave patrons behind as i guide them to their books.

i have two footstools that i plan on re-upholstering. it's been interesting enough looking for the fabric (purple hairy stuff, anyone?) but i've finally settled on one i mostly like and now i get to tackle the stools armed only with fabric and a staple gun. i would be much more frightened, except i don't really need the footstools so even if they are a disaster i still haven't lost much.

the movers called today to tell us that they will call us again in a couple of days. i wish they would just call us and get it over with. bigger news: we have to pack all of our own things. and while i wasn't really looking forward to having them pack my underwear, i was excited about the prospect of my dishes and photographs being safe.
