guess where i am this weekend? you've got it: new jersey. mike and i are going to have to start leaving extra toothbrushes at johnmark's house. and while i love hanging out in new jersey (surprisingly, it is already good to get out of the city), i'm sorry to have missed marie who was apparently in town this weekend. :-(

yesterday i attended an annual queen's library breakfast where they gave certificates and presents and recognition to people who had worked at the library for 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. years. of course, since i have only been there for two weeks, it was a bit pointless for me. still, i got free scrambled eggs out of it. and i got my first check yesterday too, which, frankly, is a much better deal.

almost celebrity sighting: we waited for martin short to exit from the theatre where he had just finished his show (called: martin short: fame becomes me) but he never came out. there was still a crowd there when we left, but we figured half an hour was more than enough time for martin short.
