mike and i ventured to costco this weekend. we are now members. i think this means we are seriously middle aged. ha. mike looked at the prices and flipped out. how can they sell us 10 somethings for the price of two of those same somethings somewhere else? it makes no sense.

celebrity sighting: dave chapelle. (for those of you not in the know, dave chapelle is tom hanks' friend in you've got mail, the one who says the taking it to the next level lines) he was standing on 5th avenue waving an orange traffic flag. there were also lots of bright movie lights around. if you see a movie with dave chapelle on 5th avenue, mike and i are in the bus that goes right by him.

celebrity sighting number two: on the subway today, a lady looked at me and said "you work at the library, don't you?" guilty as charged.
