i do have a reason, though! this weekend i flew back to champaign to be mistress of ceremonies/stage manager at rachel anne and evan's wedding (rachel anne is my friend from library school). they were married at hessel park just like i was with the ceremony and the reception in the sanctuary. there were quite a few loose ends to tie up when i arrived on the scene friday morning, but saturday at 1 they walked down the aisle and got married. the ceremony was beautiful, the reception was beautiful, everything went fantastically well and i didn't end up having the play the processional. and as they were driving off into the sunset, rachel anne told me "this was my dream wedding." i couldn't have asked for more.
and because wedding pictures are so much fun, here are a couple i took on my camera.

this is the exchange of vows:

the bride. sigh.

in other news, i now need to plan a halloween party for the kids at the library and i still don't have a halloween costume for myself. oh boy.
