i am mostly over my horrible rotten cold. this is a good thing (for a lot of reasons) especially because i visited three first grade classrooms this morning. and while a voice is a reasonably good thing to have when you are telling stories, i'd also be against breathing nasty germs all over those children.

we cleaned the apartment yesterday. this was mostly because we were having people over.

ironically, once those people came over, they commented how nice the apartment was and that they never clean unless they are having people over. (does that count as irony? i'm never sure anymore)

when they left, though, they issued an invitation for us to go see them. gives them an excuse to clean.

p.s. the roast and the apple crisp were delicious.
