it's thursday and i'm finally at work for practically the first time this week. combination of cold, cough, stuffed nose, dizziness, lack of vocal ability that exceeded a whisper, and a general inability to stand have kept me from coming for three days. i showed up briefly on tuesday but left when my manager told me i looked like death and should go home for pete's sake. so i did.

i'm feeling slightly more alive today. and my voice is mostly back (great disappointment for those who prefer quiet, yes, i know).

not sure that i'm ready for this. my desk has become a disaster since i've been gone.

and if the teacher stands me up today... there will be hell to pay.
