when did i acquire so many little things that refuse to be nicely packed or unpacked? i had no idea that i would grow to loathe pens. or buttons. or even tape. i will, of course, recognize the importance of those things once i figure out where to put them. the floor is no longer an option.
i would have liked to say that mike and i did all sorts of great touristy things this weekend. instead, we went to the home depot and bought another air conditioner. this one is for our bedroom. maybe now we'll finally be able to sleep. although since we don't have a window in our bedroom (well, technically we do, but it faces the corners of several buildings and lets in no light), our main problem is waking ourselves up in the morning. any tips on those alarm clocks that wake you up by simulating the sunrise?
it's hot in new york. record heat. we're all wilting over here. i'm glad the movers have finally finished bringing things up the stairs because they would collapse under the weight of the air.
new york moment of the weekend: while trying to find a flea market on 6th avenue, we walked past several women posing for photos with members of the nypd.
