i had to work at a different library today (our library isn't open on saturday) and the best part of my day was when a little girl came up to me with a book about tarantulas and wanted me to read it to her. she was fascinated by it, but couldn't bring herself to touch the pages because of the pictures.
last night william and gillian came to town. william flew out tonight for zimbabwe, but last night we had a great time going to see a broadway show (the drowsy chaperone - everyone should see this show - it was the best show we've seen so far) and had a wonderful dinner afterwards at a tiny brazilian place nearby. i haven't seen william since the wedding (mine) so it was great to see him and to talk about the wedding (his!) (in may!) since they are getting married in zimbabwe, mike and i are looking into taking some days off and heading down there. neither one of us has ever been to africa!
at the show last night we not only got to see a great show, we also saw a celebrity who was enjoying the show himself. his first name is tony and he plays the title character in the tv series "monk." ever seen it? he has a very distinct face. if i could spell his last name, you could even look it up! too bad for you. he's famous. trust me.
