snow!! today when i walked out of the building, there was a good inch on the cars parked in the street. it was sunny, too, which almost made up for the guy drilling into our hallway ceilings at 7 this morning.

last weekend mike and i went to queens to walk around (and i got to visit michael's which is always fun). on our way there, we passed park avenue (long story, for those of you who know new york geography and know that park is in the opposite direction from queens) and saw a parade of muslims. it looked like a funeral and, once we picked up a pamphlet (which said "we're not terrorists!" in big friendly letters) that said they were mourning the death of husayn and his family who were murdered 1400 years ago. there was quite a crowd, many of them chanting and beating their chests as they walked. they went on for quite a while, but we eventually walked off because there is only so much mourning we could take on a sunny day.

our cats seem to have recovered from their various ailments. mitch was actually eating real chicken tonight (no, i didn't feed him from my plate, why do you ask?) and kitten's eye which had gone pink and closed has finally opened up normally again. perhaps we have some sort of kitty sickness hotbed here because the three of them can't seem to get a good grip on being healthy.

rehearsals for "oklahoma!" started this week. i've been taking blocking notes and generally reveling in the stage management job again. someone else will be calling the show (a la "light cue one go!") but i get to assist them and maybe next time they will trust me to call it myself. first this stage management thing, then the world! hahahahahahahahaha... ahem.

anyway.

that's all, folks.

Snow???? Let's talk about snow, girl! We have 15 to 20 inches on our back porch and today it's a blizzard warning day! I already shoveled 5 inches this a.m. Anyway... It'll be a good day to stay in the house. I hope I'm not tempted to start cleaning!
