summer programming started at the library this week.
my three storytimes in a row worked out pretty well.
then there came the giant cooking class fiasco where we were making bread pizzas with 93 children and 1) ran out of bread and 2) the toaster ovens decided to stop working. using a combination of microwaves and last minute oreo cookie spider creations, we avoided disaster.
and after that, we had game time where the several board games i had pulled out were no match for the 32 five year olds looking to play games. i quick made some copies of the bingo cards i had created las year for another program, pulled out the buttons, grabbed the stickers for prizes and we played a very large game of bingo.
and that's only the past two days. eight weeks to go.
